AfterGather
A branded media hub for photographers: deliver private client galleries and collect guest photos from live events in one workspace
A white-label media platform for photographers and studios that fuses two workflows usually split across separate tools: polished delivery and proofing of private client sessions, and high-participation guest media collection at live events via QR-based uploads. Everything is organized around a workspace, project, collection, and asset model, so a studio runs its brand, its client projects, and its live event hubs from one place, and the couple or host gets a single permanent home for every official and guest-captured memory. Built as a TypeScript pnpm monorepo (a Next.js 15 App Router web app plus marketing pages, a Fastify 5 API with TypeBox schemas, a BullMQ worker, PostgreSQL via Drizzle, Redis, and S3-compatible storage) with multi-provider billing, web push, GDPR export, an admin console, and an AI-model allowlist spanning several providers. Currently live in early access behind a public waitlist front door.

An all-in-one guest-engagement platform for independent hospitality operators: restaurants, bars, cafes, hotels, and event-led venues. It brings reservations, digital menus, events, guest capture, campaigns, messaging, loyalty, and credits together with a guest portal that closes the loop after a visit, replacing the patchwork of reservation widgets, menu PDFs, mailing tools, and paper loyalty cards most venues juggle. Built as a TypeScript pnpm monorepo (a Next.js operator app and public property pages, a Fastify API, a BullMQ worker, and PostgreSQL via Drizzle) with a multi-domain, locale-per-domain architecture. Currently live in beta behind a waitlist front door, aimed first at operators in Slovenia and the wider DACH region.

AI-Powered Investment Intelligence Platform (defunct)
Built the AI investment intelligence platform end-to-end, including large-scale data pipelines and the AWS-to-GCP migration.
As Founding Engineer, I led the development of this full-stack investment intelligence platform that helped investors analyze markets and discover trade ideas. The platform included a web application, mobile app, and CMS. Key features included AI-powered watchlists that monitored stocks and notified users of key events (earnings, analyst ratings, insider transactions, technical patterns), Smart Screener, AI Trade Search, and coverage across 20+ global markets. The infrastructure included a Python-based AI classification system using hierarchical GPT models for categorizing financial signals (M&A, guidance, products), a data monorepo with 100+ API endpoints, scheduled Airflow pipelines, article crawlers, and ETL workflows processing large volumes of data from multiple sources (FMP, SEC filings, news articles, and more). I also led the cloud migration from AWS to GCP and built the public marketing sites for MarketAlerts and its continuation, MyQuant. The product has since been wound down and is no longer operational.

An IoT Platform for smart city infrastructure management
Designed and delivered a 20+ microservice smart-city backend with real-time data processing on Kubernetes.
Designed/architected and developed the backend architecture for a Middle Eastern government smart city initiative. The platform consisted of 20+ microservices, each with their own database and API - this included things like authentication, onboarding, dashboard, marketplace, smart parking, smart lighting, support, and many more services. The additional services that we used were: Postgres for general data storage, Cassandra for time-series data storage, Kafka for event streaming, Grafana for monitoring, Keycloak for authentication, and everything was deployed on Kubernetes.

Scaled the platform from early-stage to millions of users, modernized the stack, and led infrastructure migrations.
I joined when the project was still relatively small, but it has grown into quite a large-scale project over the years. During that time, I have not only contributed to the majority of features but also performed a significant amount of upgrading and refactoring of the codebase. This included migrating from Rackspace to GCP, and finally to AWS, creating migration scripts between the platforms, containerizing the development and production environments, splitting features into separate micro apps from jQuery to React, rewriting mobile apps in React Native, setting up a CI/CD pipeline, setting up and preparing an E2E suite, and mentoring newly joined developers and juniors.

Comprehensive motorsport calendar covering 20+ racing series with live countdowns and weather
As you can see from all the projects below, this is not my first attempt at building a motorsport calendar - there were actually two attempts before this. However, those two attempts never really saw the light of day. This time I decided to try something a bit simpler and just ship it as soon as possible, thus WeWentCarRacing.com was born. Right now, besides the most popular series (Formula 1/2/3/E, WEC, WRC, DTM, BTCC, IndyCar, NASCAR, MotoGP ...) and their events, I have also added all the tracks where the races are held. In addition to countdowns for each session and event, there are also features like live weather, locally adjusted times, and a lot of metadata. This is of course only the start - I am planning to add many more features and functionality in the future.

Developed a suite of approximately half a dozen applications serving as an interactive digital concierge for hotels, properties, and tourist services. The system included an iPad app for guests and a web-based admin panel for management. Features covered interactive floor plans with navigation panels to browse between floors, property presentations with compare modes for rooms and properties, scheduling data, interactive maps, local landmark guides, and hotel complex walkthroughs - similar to the interactive screens found in hotel lobbies, but delivered as a full mobile and web experience.
